The Heritage Hills Patriots will travel to Jasper this Friday night for a 7:00pm CST kickoff.
Heritage Hills is off to their best start since 2011 when they started 4-0. That 2011 team was also the last time the Patriots beat Jasper and we haven't won at Jasper since 2006. In 2006, the Patriots shut out the Wildcats 21-0.
This season Jasper is averaging 43 points per game and giving up 11.7 points per game, while Heritage Hills is averaging 48.7 points per game and giving up 9 points per game.
Jasper won the first two meetings and four of the first five. Heritage Hills would win the next seven meetings starting with a sectional win over then, #1 ranked Jasper in 1996. After the 1996 game they wouldn't meet again until they restored the regular season rivalry in 2001. In 2001, Heritage Hills would beat a Jasper team that went on to win the 4A State Title. In 2008 Jasper ended the Patriots win streak with an 18-0 win and the Wildcats have won 5 of the last 6 to cut the Patriots series lead down to 10-9, where it stands today.
