This month has really shown me the ingenuity and tenacity that our heritage area partners possess! So many of you quickly adjusted your business models to continue serve and inform the Baltimore community in an ever changing business environment. Many of you have reached out with funding resources and best practices that are aiding you in sustaining your organizations that you simply wanted us to share with others. Virtual networking opportunities have abounded! And many of you not only shared valuable business links, but you also passed along smiles and encouraging words that are needed in this time of social distancing. The last weeks have indeed been incredibly trying on all of us, but we are Baltimore Strong and Baltimore Savvy enough to make it through! BNHA continues to be your advocate and partner in telling the unique stories of Baltimore. Do not hesitate to reach out and let us know the best ways that we can be of assistance to you during this time.

This grant is a source of Federal funding designed to provide small, but strategic investments in cultural heritage tourism projects and organizations within the boundaries of the heritage area. Advocate for Maryland's Heritage Area's Join the Alliance of National Heritage Areas (ANHA) in asking Congress to ease some of the funding restrictions and requirements on heritage area organizations. Like all organizations during this time the BNHA and its industry partners are looking for support to continue our work. We are asking each of you to write Congress to garner support for Baltimore and the 54 other national heritage areas across the country; many of which are located in areas most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We can only continue our work with your support!
