Keneseth Israel Heritage Shabbat Honorees, Norma and Arnold Meshkov.
Nearly 65 years ago, just after the opening of KI in Elkins Park, Danny and Harriet Messinger and Stanley and Irma Meshkov each joined the congregation, and none of them would have envisioned then how that affiliation would become so integral to them, to their immediate families and indeed the Meshkov-Messinger generations that followed.
Rabbi Korn in 1970, officiated at our wedding, creating an indelible connection to this congregation that would become our family’s spiritual home for a lifetime.
We are blessed to have our children Adam and Eleanor, and Karen nearby as we watch our grandchildren Harriet, Samuel, Madeleine and Asa grow into unique and caring individuals. L’dor Vador has deep meaning for us. We are grateful to our parents Harriett and Danny Messinger and Irma and Stanley Meshkov for joining KI and starting our journey here and for all the benefits that have been a collective seal on our hearts.
Our years at KI have been a continuous kaleidoscope of educational, spiritual and personal relationships and experiences, woven together with our congregational community. It is truly the thread that has run through the course of our marriage and family life.
Join us on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. for Shabbat and learn more about our involvement and dedication to Keneseth Israel.
