Our trees help define our community
– They shade our children & animals, at home and in the parks, keep our houses cooler
– Trees help mitigate stormwater runoff (development, clearcutting &
impervious surfaces lead to greater flooding and stormwater issues)
– Support wildlife habitat and clean our air

PLEASE get familiar with the Radnor Township Shade Tree Ordinance

– The Ordinance has a recommended tree list for our region
– Specific guidelines for dealing with hazard trees
– Trees need attention and maintenance (professional trimming)
– Special protection for Heritage trees (trees with the DBH of 30 inches or greater)
– Your arborist or tree service must be licensced with Radnor Township
