Sharon

Materials Management, Heritage Valley Beaver

Working as a Lead Materials Management Tech provides Sharon with a sense of community, and gives her the opportunity to be part of a team that provides Heritage Valley caregivers with the supplies they need to care for our patients. Materials Management is an essential part of health care. Receiving and shipping materials, warehousing and inventory control, and materials distribution are just a few of the things that Sharon and her team are responsible for.

Sharon’s manager is impressed with her dedication and hard work, noting that she has made significant contributions to Heritage Valley over the years. Sharon is quick to point out that it is a group effort, and she feels fortunate to work with the caring and compassionate people on her team. She noted that working through the pandemic and all of the related supply chain challenges proved just how important teamwork is!

Sharon takes great pride in her work, and it shows! She states that she is happy to play a small role in caring for our community. We think that Sharon plays a large role, and we are happy to have her on the Heritage Valley team!

Attention Runners and Walkers!

For 22 years, Heritage Valley Health System has been proud to be the Corporate Sponsor of the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department 5K/10K Race, the longest continual and most attended organized race in Beaver County.

The annual race/walk, which will take place on Saturday, June 1, is Beaver County’s premier race event and uses a scenic route through the historic neighborhoods of Beaver. A long stretch of the race course overlooks the majestic Ohio River. In the event of dangerous weather, the race may be delayed, but will still be held.

Intersections will be monitored by police, fire fighters and community volunteers to avoid any problems with cars and race participants. For safety reasons, dogs are not permitted. The 10K race will begin promptly at 8:00 am, followed by the 5K race at 9:00 am. Water and fruit will be provided at the finish line, and an awards ceremony will immediately follow the conclusion of the 5K race.

Shirts are guaranteed with registration through May 10th. (Prices will increase after May 10th.) For additional information and to register, please click here.
