Heritage Valley Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine welcomes Aaron Lampkin, DO and Michelle Marks, MD, to its practice. Both physicians will be seeing patients at the Beaver office, located at 1000 Dutch Ridge Road. 

Dr. Lampkin received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie. Additionally, he has had robotic bronchoscopy training through Intuitive Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Lampkin is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr. Lampkin is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Marks received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She has developed and delivered educational material on asthma, COPD and pulmonary physical exams. Dr. Marks is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.

World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated during the first week of August, so this is a good time to talk about Heritage Valley’s free Breastfeeding Classes for Moms-to-be. The classes, held six times a year, are led by a board-certified lactation consultant and provide participants with the opportunity to learn about breastfeeding and to ask questions. Heritage Valley also offers a breastfeeding support group, the Breastfeeding Moms Network, which meets on the first Tuesday of each month in the Maternal Child Health Classroom at Heritage Valley Beaver. The next meeting is scheduled for August 5 at 6 pm. 

Heritage Valley has Registered Nurses with special training to support breastfeeding families. We also offer one-on-one consultations with International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Liz Leon. Liz is available by appointment weekday mornings at Heritage Valley Beaver’s Maternal Child Health Unit and weekday afternoons at Heritage Valley Pediatrics’ Chippewa office. To schedule an appointment with Liz, please call 724-773-6842.
