Heritage Valley Accepts All Major Insurances

You have more choices than you may realize! Heritage Valley accepts all major insurances, so why not schedule testing and procedures at local, community hospitals and satellite locations?

Schedule Your MRI in Your Community

Since Heritage Valley accepts all major insurances, you can schedule your MRI at a convenient community site! Heritage Valley offers both traditional closed and open-bore MRI options. While certain areas of the body require that a traditional closed MRI be used, the open-bore machine may accommodate patients who are claustrophobic or have a larger body type.

Traditional closed MRIs are available at Heritage Valley Beaver, Heritage Valley Kennedy and Heritage Valley Sewickley hospitals.

We offer open-bore mobile MRI service at the Calcutta, OH, Center Township (Monaca), Chippewa, Ellwood City and Robinson Township Medical Neighborhoods; and the Women’s Health Center in Center Township.

To schedule your MRI, please call 866-901-IMAG (4624).

Tito Francona Memorial Golf Classic

After the early morning rain cleared, nearly 140 golfers had a great time at the 33rd annual Tito Francona Memorial Golf Classic! The Heritage Valley Health System Foundation hosted the event on August 7th at Olde Stonewall Golf Club. Former Cleveland Indians’ and St. Louis Cardinals’ star John “Tito” Francona first held the Tito Francona Golf Outing in 1989 in memory of his late wife, Birdie, who was treated for cancer at the Heritage Valley Beaver Hospital. Their son, Terry Francona, General Manager of the Cleveland Guardians, continues to sponsor and support this memorial golf event, which now benefits Heritage Valley Beaver cancer and heart patients.

Since 1989, this event has raised $3.5 million, including nearly $90,000 this year, enabling us to purchase equipment and support the John “Tito” Francona Heart & Vascular Center in Beaver. Heritage Valley’s Heart & Vascular Center includes leading cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, cardiologists and electrophysiologists, as well as nurses and technicians who are highly trained to perform cardiac and vascular testing and procedures. To reach the John “Tito” Francona Heart & Vascular Center, please call 724-773-4502.

We were honored that Tito and Birdie selected us for cancer and heart treatments, and we are grateful for the continuing support of Terry Francona and his family. Once again, Heritage Valley remains Uniquely Connected. For Life.

Adult Day Care

Part of the LIFE Beaver/LIFE Lawrence Programs

Adult Day Care services are the perfect fit for families who wish to keep their loved ones at home, but may need help during the day while they work. The LIFE Beaver County and LIFE Lawrence County Adult Day Care programs provide seniors who are living at home the opportunity to socialize with others. Participants travel to the Center and enjoy nutritious meals and activities such as exercise classes, educational presentations, entertainment, arts & crafts, pet visits and more.

Adult Day Care programs not only benefit the participants, but also the caregivers. According to seniorcare.com, studies have shown that family caregivers who utilize Adult Day Care programs for their loved ones experience fewer depressive symptoms than those who do not use Adult Day Care services. The majority of families reported that loved ones using Adult Day Care had a positive reaction to the service.

The LIFE Beaver Center is located at 131 Pleasant Drive in Aliquippa. The LIFE Lawrence Center is located at 2911 W. State Street in New Castle. Both Centers are open Monday – Friday, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Heritage Valley Health System is proud to offer LIFE Beaver and LIFE Lawrence in partnership with Lutheran SeniorLife. For additional information, or to schedule a tour of a LIFE Center, please call 724-378-5400 (Beaver) or 724-657-8800 (Lawrence), or visit LIFEviecare.org.
