Wound Care Services in Kennedy Township

The Kennedy Township WoundCare, located in Kenmawr Plaza, 556 Pine Hollow Road in Kennedy Township, is remaining open! Both new and existing patients are welcome.

You may need special care when that seemingly normal wound just won’t heal. Or when that stubborn sore needs an extra boost to begin the healing process. Common wounds treated at WoundCare include diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, trauma, non-healing surgical wounds, or any wound that has not healed. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is also available.

If you are suffering from a non-healing wound, or would like to discuss whether or not you need immediate care for your wound, please contact us at 412-250-2600. WoundCare is open from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

We also have a WoundCare location in Beaver, located at Entrance D at Heritage Valley Beaver hospital (724-770-7998). Please click here for more information on our WoundCare program.

Immunization Awareness Month

August is National Immunization Awareness Month, a time to highlight the importance of routine vaccinations for people of all ages. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website (cdc.gov), vaccines can prevent infectious diseases that once killed or harmed many infants, children and adults. Millions of children safely receive vaccines each year. The most common side effects are very mild, such as pain or swelling at the injection site. The CDC states that the disease-prevention benefits of getting vaccines are much greater than the possible side effects for almost all children.

For more information on immunization for children, teens and young adults, please click here to visit the Heritage Valley Pediatrics webpage. To make an appointment with Heritage Valley Pediatrics, please call one of our four locations: Aliquippa/Hopewell (724-375-6161); Beaver (724-774-4070); Chippewa/Beaver Falls (724-773-6842); or Edgeworth/Sewickley (412-741-2622). Sick visits for established patients ages six months and older may be self-scheduled through the Heritage Valley app.

Adults may need various vaccines based on health conditions, jobs, lifestyle or travel. We encourage you to discuss all vaccines with your Primary Care Physician. If you are looking for a PCP, please visit our website or call the Heritage Valley Physician Referral Line at 1-844-769-DOCS (3627).
