Heritage Valley Continues
Community COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics
|
|
Heritage Valley Health System initiated several COVID-19 vaccination clinics for the community last week. More than 6,700 first-doses of the vaccine were administered to those in the Phase 1A category as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Another 3,000 vaccinations have been scheduled through the middle of February.
Vaccination clinics are held at the Community College of Beaver County Dome in Monaca, PA, and the former Heritage Valley Robinson location (side entrance of the Staples building) in Robinson Township. Additional vaccination clinics are scheduled for February 9, 10, 11, 17, 22, 23, and 24 at the CCBC Dome and February 8, 12, 16, and 18 in Robinson Township. Individuals must be scheduled to obtain a vaccine at these locations.
The Phase 1A category includes those 65 years of age and older and those ages 16 – 64 with serious health conditions that put them at greater risk for complications from COVID-19. At this time, we have more than 47,000 Phase 1A individuals registered for the vaccine. Heritage Valley is currently focused on the most vulnerable individuals of the population and actively scheduling those ages 78 and above.
“We are experiencing an overwhelming amount of community support for our vaccination efforts,” said Norm Mitry, President and CEO, Heritage Valley Health System. “The Beaver County Commissioners, Community College of Beaver County, various Emergency Management Personnel and numerous volunteers have provided unwavering assistance to help protect those individuals in the communities we serve.”
Eligible individuals on the Heritage Valley COVID-19 vaccine registration list will be notified to schedule a date, time, and location to receive the vaccine as more doses become available. For the latest information, continue to subscribe to E-Connections or visit our website at HeritageValley.org.
