Please Schedule Your Vaccinations & Boosters!
As we begin this New Year, we want to strongly encourage all of our community members to please get vaccinated for COVID-19, including a booster. “Boosted” individuals appear to have more protection from the highly contagious Omicron variant. The CDC now says that children as young as 12 who received Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine may receive a booster five months after their first two shots.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to increase. Heritage Valley currently has 70 COVID-19 inpatients across our three hospitals, with approximately 65% of these patients being unvaccinated. Sadly, from July – December 2021, we had 151 COVID-related deaths. Of those, 109 were unvaccinated, and the vast majority of patients under the age of 60 who died were unvaccinated.

So again, if you have not already done so, please schedule your vaccinations and boosters as soon as possible! If you are vaccinated...thank you! Being vaccinated is one of our best defenses in controlling this pandemic.
Schedule & Receive COVID-19 Test Results on Your Smart Phone!
You are now able to schedule a COVID-19 test and see your results on your smart phone using the Heritage Valley Health System app! In a few easy steps, you can download the app and create a “My Care Link,” where you can schedule a COVID-19 test and view your results. You can also view your SMART Health Card here, if you received your COVID vaccines through HVHS.

  • “If you do not have a Care Card or do not know your Care Card Number, please select Skip Care Card.”
  • Follow all prompts and, once you have created and verified a password, a “COVID-19 Test” link will be in your “My Care Link.”
