Thousands Vaccinated:
Community COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics Continue
|
|
Heritage Valley Health System has administered nearly 38,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine with more than 14,000 individuals now fully vaccinated (receiving the two required doses).
Heritage Valley Health System completed two Saturday COVID-19 vaccination events, administering more than 3,000 vaccines to Phase 1A individuals. These large volume COVID-19 vaccination clinics represent just part of Heritage Valley’s community vaccination effort as weekday clinics are held in Robinson Township, at the former Heritage Valley location next to Staples, as well as the CCBC Dome.
Upcoming dates for vaccine clinics are as follows: March 24, 25, 26, and 29 at the CCBC Dome and March 24, 26, and 30 at the Staples office building in Robinson Township. In addition, Saturday vaccine clinics will be held on April 10 and 17 and May 15 and 29 at the CCBC Dome.
Vaccination slots for community clinics fill rapidly as Heritage Valley continues to actively schedule those ages 65 and older.
In addition, if you have registered for a COVID-19 vaccine online, are between the ages of 50 – 64, are an established patient with a Heritage Valley Health System physician, and have certain high-risk conditions, you will receive an email on Monday, March 22 inviting you to schedule your vaccine. Simply click on the link and follow the scheduling instructions. If you have not yet registered online, we encourage you to do so.
If you are in the category described above but registered by phone and do not have access to a computer or smartphone, please call 412-777-6280 to schedule your vaccine, preferably between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
While it is our desire to schedule vaccines for all Heritage Valley patients, we are limited by the number of vaccines that we receive. Given the overwhelming interest shown by our community members, we ask for your patience during the scheduling process. As we receive more doses of the vaccine, we will be able to invite additional age groups to schedule.
“While we’re very pleased with the progress we’ve made so far, there’s still a long way to go to ensure that everyone who wants a vaccine, receives one,” said Norm Mitry, President and CEO, Heritage Valley Health System. “From now through May 31, Heritage Valley has vaccination clinics scheduled every weekday, 97 in total, as well as four additional large-scale Saturday vaccine clinics at the CCBC Dome.”
