Physician Profile: Vascular Surgery
Richard Redlinger, Jr., MD, RPVI and Edward Villella, MD, RPVI
Dr. Richard Redlinger and Dr. Edward Villella are vascular surgeons at HVMG Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, a practice located in Heritage Valley Beaver hospital.
Dr. Redlinger and Dr. Villella are established as Registered Physicians in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). Both vascular surgeons have extensive experience in the treatment of aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and dialysis access.
Dr. Richard Redlinger is board-certified in General and Vascular Surgery. He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Dr. Edward Villella is board-certified in General Surgery. He completed his General Surgery residency at West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh and a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Service Line Spotlight: LIFE Beaver County
In collaboration with Lutheran SeniorLife, Heritage Valley Health System supports the LIFE Beaver County program. Living Independence for the Elderly (LIFE) provides an alternative to nursing home care by helping to restore and support independence for older individuals who wish to remain in their homes.

LIFE Beaver County helps older adults who are living at home by managing their complex medical, functional, and social needs. Participants have a full range of medical, social, and rehabilitation services available to them including:
  • Comprehensive medical care
  • Adult day services
  • Support care in the participant's home
  • Prescription coverage
  • Meals
  • Recreational programs
  • Transportation to and from the LIFE Center where medical and social needs can be met

The LIFE Beaver County Center is located at 131 Pleasant Drive in Aliquippa, just off the Center Township Exit of I-376.
Transportation to and from the LIFE Beaver County Center is provided for participants.
COVID-19 and Flu Testing Available at ConvenientCare
Beaver Drive-Thru COVID-19 and Flu Testing Ends March 25

Heritage Valley will eliminate drive-thru COVID-19 and flu testing in Beaver at the end of the day on Thursday, March 25. Patients are still able to obtain COVID-19 and flu testing at one of the seven ConvenientCare locations after completing a telehealth/telephone visit with a provider. Once a telehealth visit is completed and the test ordered, patients will be directed to a ConvenientCare location for testing. Patients will be able to drive up to any of our seven ConvenientCare locations (Aliquippa, Center Twp., Chippewa, Edgeworth, Ellwood City, Robinson Twp., Calcutta, Ohio) and remain in their car while clinical staff come to the car and assist in the collection of the COVID-19 sample.
