National Hospital Week

During National Hospital Week, May 12 – 18, 2024, we take time to recognize the important roles that hospitals play in our communities and, more importantly, to celebrate the dedicated personnel who provide quality care every day. At Heritage Valley, we are extremely proud of our dedicated employees, and we appreciate the role that each one plays in delivering the very best care to our patients.

This year, we have 430 employees in various departments receiving service recognition awards, with years of service ranging from 5 to 50. In fact, more than 75 of these employees have been with Heritage Valley for over 30 years! To thank all of our employees, we will be sponsoring prize drawings and food trucks throughout the month, along with a system-wide service recognition event.

Beverly, Patient Care Associate (HVS) – 5 years

As a Patient Care Associate, Beverly enjoys her interactions with patients and their families. She feels fortunate that she is in a position to provide comfort to those in need. Beverly loves the team environment that exists in the nursing departments at Heritage Valley Sewickley, and really likes how everyone supports one another. We know that Beverly is a big part of that positive environment!

Scott, RN (Level 3 Unit, HVB) – 30 years

After 30 years of working at Heritage Valley, what is it that Scott finds so special? The people! He enjoys getting to know his patients and working daily alongside his coworkers. Scott states that it is a pleasure to work with the employees of Heritage Valley. We have a pretty strong suspicion that Scott’s coworkers feel the same way about him!

Todd, Patient Care Associate (HVB) – 30 years

Todd has worked with patients and their families at Heritage Valley Beaver for over 30 years. Todd’s motto for kindness is simple: “Treat every patient like a family member because they are, in fact, somebody’s family.” We’re happy that Todd is part of the Heritage Valley family!

Pam, Service Coordinator (Staunton Clinic) – 40 years

Pam’s career with Heritage Valley/Staunton Clinic began in 1983 when she was hired for her first “real job” at Sewickley Valley Hospital (now Heritage Valley Sewickley). While it began as a temporary position, she is still with Heritage Valley over 40 years later! Pam states that it is a privilege to help care for clients and assist with problem resolution. She is grateful to have wonderful co-workers, and feels blessed to have a supportive family who understands the demands of her job. We’re glad that Pam chose to spend her career at Heritage Valley!

Stacey, Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Heart & Vascular Center - Leetsdale) – 20 years

Stacey states that working at the Heart & Vascular Center is incredibly rewarding. Particularly satisfying to Stacey is having the opportunity to put anxious patients at ease before, during and after their procedures. She also loves to see patients when they return for follow-up care, knowing that it is a sign that they trust Heritage Valley. We know that we can trust Stacey to do a great job for her patients!
