We extend a warm welcome to General Surgeon Nathan Roberts, DO, FACOS, who has joined HVMG Surgical Associates and is seeing patients on the Heritage Valley Sewickley and Kennedy campuses. Dr. Roberts completed his undergraduate studies at Washington and Jefferson College and earned his Osteopathic Degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at Oklahoma State University, and practiced for seven years in Tulsa, OK. Dr. Roberts enjoys all aspects of General Surgery, including Robotics, Laparoscopy and Endoscopy.
Both Dr. Roberts and his wife are originally from Western Pennsylvania and are excited to be back in the area. Dr. Roberts looks forward to providing patients with the same level of quality care that they have come to expect from HVMG Surgical Associates.

With appointment-free, walk-in convenience, Heritage Valley’s ConvenientCare Clinics are the perfect place to go for the treatment of minor illnesses or injuries. Flu vaccines are also available at all seven locations. We are open seven days a week (Monday – Saturday from 8 am – 8 pm and Sunday from 8 am – 4 pm) to accommodate the busy schedules of today’s active families.
Plus, by downloading the HVHS app and clicking on the Activity button, you will see how many patients are currently at each ConvenientCare location. Our medical records system will quickly send your prescription to your pharmacy and deliver a full care report to your Heritage Valley physician. What more do you need?
So -- the next time that you have a minor pain or sprain, or need a flu vaccine, visit one of our convenient locations... no appointment needed!

Boosters
Appointments are Required
Good news! Although we stated in our last issue that booster clinics were ending and we would no longer be providing Moderna boosters, we are pleased to announce that, due to the expanded eligibility by the CDC for boosters, we are again holding booster clinics and will provide both Pfizer and Moderna boosters.
All adults (ages 18 and older) who received either the Pfizer-BioNTech or the Moderna vaccines at least six months ago are now eligible for a third, or booster, dose. Adults who received the vaccine from Johnson & Johnson more than two months ago were already eligible for boosters.

Your Pfizer or Moderna booster should be at least 6 months after your 2nd vaccine.
- If you received Pfizer vaccines, we will only administer a Pfizer booster.
- If you received Moderna vaccines, we will only administer a Moderna booster.
- If you received a Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you may schedule a Pfizer or Moderna booster at least two months after your initial vaccine.

If you received your 1st & 2nd vaccines at a non-HVHS location, you must bring your vaccination record card, as proof of vaccines is required.
- Bring photo ID.
- An updated vaccine card will be provided.

We are offering first and second Pfizer vaccines by appointment only for children ages 5 – 11 at the locations and days listed below. A separate appointment is needed for each child in a family. We anticipate providing vaccine clinics for children through the end of the year. Walk-in times are not available.

You must have an order for a test. Contact either your Heritage Valley physician or one of our seven ConvenientCare locations to have an order called in.
- Be sure that your cell phone number is listed in your CareLink profile. We will send a text confirmation of your appointment. We will also send the results of your COVID-19 test via text, typically within 24 – 48 hours.
- Bring your insurance card and identification to your appointment. Without insurance, the cost of the test is $140, and a bill will be sent to you.

If you need a test on a Saturday or Sunday, please call one of our seven ConvenientCare locations, which can be found on heritagevalley.org, for an appointment. Please note that only ill or symptomatic patients will be seen on the weekends.
