Greetings!

We’re excited to invite you to an upcoming talk by Dr. Duane Bratt. Albertans will be going to the polls in Fall 2026 to vote on a series of referendums. One of those questions will be on whether to separate from Canada. This talk will explain the roots of Alberta separatism, the current timing, comparisons with referendums in Quebec, and the likelihood of success.

Meet our speaker!

Dr. Duane Bratt is a professor of political science at Mount Royal University and a well known expert on Canadian politics, defense policy, and foreign affairs. He regularly contributes to national media as a political commentator, offering analysis on elections, public policy, and international relations. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Bratt is an active public scholar who engages students and the broader community through research, commentary, and public discussion on contemporary political issues.

Please join us in listening to Dr. Duane Bratt on Monday, February 23, at 7:00 PM at the St. Andrews United Church
