SENIOR CENTER CLOSED
ESSENTIAL FOOD PROGRAM CONTINUES
|
|
Even though Hesston Senior Center’s doors remain closed, a very essential need is being met from their kitchen. Aging Projects Inc. headquartered a congregate meal/home delivered meal program from the HAS kitchen in December 2018. Their meal program prepares meals and feeds seniors from all over Harvey County.
The kitchen remains open and staff continue to feed seniors, even though the Center is officially closed. All meals are being transported to other County senior centers, and for Hesston seniors; home-delivered to those who meet delivery qualifications or prepared for take-out for those who normally congregate. The HAS doors are unlocked for 30 minutes each day so that take-out meals can be picked up.
If you would like to order meals, please call 24 hours in advance of the day to order. Meal calendars may be picked up at the center between 12-12:30 (on a table just inside the front door) or you can email
[email protected]
or call 327-5099 and a meal calendar will be emailed or mailed to you.
HOW YOU CAN HELP DURING THIS COVID-19 CRISIS

If you are making masks, we would appreciate knowing so that in the event there is a need, we can call you for a few or we can refer callers to you. Please call 327-5099 and let us know that you can help with this need
