Friends and Fellow Eagles,

Here is what’s new at your Chagrin Falls Eagles.

Mother’s Day Brunch was a great success. We served a lot of hungry mothers and their families. Thanks to all the Volunteers that helped make this a great event.

Kentucky Derby saw some very creative hats. But just like the race itself, there was only 3 hats that can come in Win, Place or Show.

Congratulations to the winners:

First Place: Peg Nittskoff

Second Place Terry Schwartz

Third Place Jackie Uhrman

AUXILIARY ELECTIONS

Here are your officers for the coming year

pay your dues.jpg
Time to pay the piper.
The annual dues to be a member of our proud Aerie and Auxiliary is $50 a year. (That’s 96 cents a week, pretty cheap don’t you think?)

Dues are due by May 31st each year. The Grand Aerie, in their infinite wisdom, has decided that they need to send an invoice to each member to remind them to pay their dues.

Do they do this put of the goodness of their hearts? NOOOOO, they bill each Aerie for it. This amounts to a cost thousands of dollars a year to us.

The Grand Aerie pulls the unpaid list on May 26th. We ask that you please pay as soon as possible to avoid us being charged. Please remember our secretaries are not super-heroes. They will not get all payments processed the day they come in, so PLEASE PAY EARLY!

You can pay at the club in cash or check and leave an envelope for Don Rood for the men and Jennifer Kless for the ladies. Please do not mix payments for men and ladies in the same envelope. You can also mail to the club

Please make out checks to F.O.E. 2436 or Ladies Auxiliary 2436

We really appreciate all early payments.

Membership cards for men will be available at the inside bar AFTER May 15th. (Don’t even think of asking for them on the 14th). Remember, DO NOT throw away your old card until at least after May 28th, the last night for the bar drawing with your old number. The drawing of June 4th will be with your new number.

Memorial Day is less than three weeks away. Hopefully, all the snow will be gone by then.

Blossom Time will be in full swing this year with the parade and the carnival. Sunday of Blossom Time Weekend is one of the busiest days of the year at the club.

Monday is Memorial Day, a much more somber day than Sunday. There is a parade that ends up at the cemetery.

Afterwards, many come down to the club for a luncheon, provided FREE for all Veterans, EMT’s, Fire Fighters and all First Responders.

We need volunteer cooks for both days. It is not hard, and we offer “on the job training” Please email [email protected] and let me know which day you can volunteer

Entertainment will be by The No Name Band

The No Name Band has always been one of our biggest draws. It is made up of 11 lawyers and a retired judge (let’s pray the stage doesn’t break…they would own this place)

For over 17 years the eleven Cleveland area lawyers in The No Name Band have performed Rock & Roll music from the 60s, 70s, and beyond to appreciative audiences throughout the Cleveland area. Their repertoire encourages dancing and includes Motown, R&B, American rock, British invasion and even a little Disco.

Entertainment will be by Tracer

TRACER is a 6 piece rock band who plays an eclectic blend of rock n roll music.

Not your "ordinary" classic rock band. If you like to dance we got you covered.

Flat Foot is a 3 piece that plays mostly 60's and 70's classic and roots rock like The Beatles, Tom Petty, The Guess Who, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Band, America, Neil Young, etc. (I know what you’re thinking….what the hell is Roots Rock? I had no idea what roots rock was either, so as a public service to my brothers and sisters of the Aerie, here is a link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roots_rock to Wikipedia)
