Ponce Law Is Excited to Offer a Community Scholarship and Support Higher Education

Ponce Law is proud to give back to the community by offering the 2025 Perspectives Scholarship. We are excited to support students pursuing higher education with a $1,000 scholarship. To apply, submit a 500-750 word essay on a belief you once held but have since changed and what caused that shift. The deadline is February 28, 2025. The August Hometown Hero is Aunt Rhoda’s Care Closet, nominated by one of our email newsletter readers. Rhoda created the Care Closet to help high school students in a rural area, where they don't have as easy access to support as students in a metropolitan area. Here is a video showing the startup of the project: Aunt Rhoda’s Care Closet video. They now have QR codes posted throughout the school so that anyone in need can use their phone to inform them of their immediate needs. We often forget that not everyone lives in a loving home where their needs are met. Something as simple as having a place to shower with clean towels or food to eat over the weekend can make a difference.
