It's National Overlocker Month

This Month's Kimberbell project is so big, we've moved it to this Saturday so you can still participate!

Seriously - like 12x12 huge. It's a Storybook pocket pillow! This one has a nice Kimberbell pillow insert that you will wrap with an adorable design that you will embroider in class on Saturday, April 16th at 10:30am. Call Trussville at (205) 655-3388 to register. This one is a $50 class fee. That's a lot, we know - but that tells you how special this project really is! Come by and make one for that special someone.

Well, ok - you won't need to iron your serger... but you can make some really great things with it and then have FUN ironing them. How's that for a Spring surprise?

Do you want to make a quick microwave-safe bowl cozy?

Bring your sewing machine to the Valleydale location on Sat April 23rd. The class will start at 10:30 and will end at 12:30. You will go home with a completed cozy.

Your class fee of $25 includes a completed kit (except for a spool of cotton thread). There will be a big selection of kits from which to choose when you come in to pay for the class.

Robin's Coaster Club

Do you know how to use your embroidery machine just a little bit, but you are still unsure how to get better? Come try Robin's Coaster Club! We will embroider a fun holiday design each month. Come by our store and see our Easter Bunny Samples!

Each monthly class will be $15, and will include fabric and two designs - a boy and a girl version! Go home with a completed gift as well as the designs to make more. Starts on May 7th! Call Trussville at (205) 655-3388 to sign up.

Each class starts at 10:00am and goes until 1:30pm. We will cover the basics of your machine (sewing or embroidery), and get you pointed in the right direction. Don't forget to print out your Sewing Mastery Workbook or Embroidery Mastery Workbook and bring it with you.

Accurate Piecing Basics: Cutting

Are you interested in beginner quilting? Join us on Monday, April 25^th, 10:30 – 1:00.

Cutting is the first step in the process of creating a quilt and possibly the most important step. This will be a hands on demo that will cover so many of the basics needed to begin your journey to quilting. We will be showing correct way to cut using rulers, prep of fabric, which tools to use and much more. This is good for beginners and even experienced quilters. All you need to bring is yourself, pen and paper for notes. Fee: $15

Embroidery 101 is returning to Trussville in May

If you want to learn more about your embroidery machine, plan to come see us in May on three consecutive Mondays - the 9th, 16th, and 23rd.

The EMBROIDERY 101 class is designed to teach the new embroider the basics of embroidery such as stabilizer choices, embroidery supplies, hooping habits and much more. If you are a novice in the world of machine embroidery, this class is for you.

The first class will be lecture only. As we progress through the classes there will be hands-on embroidery, so the new embroider will be able to practice what they have learned and build on their skills. Please call the Trussville location to register for a seat as they are limited. The fee is $15 for each class. Our number is 205-655-3388.
