Multiple chances to learn about embroidery during National Embroidery Month

Do you want to try your hand at Kimberbell? Our monthly Kimberbell class is slated for Saturday, February 12th. Come join us! Come join us at our Valleydale location, Saturday, February 19th from 10:30-1:00 to learn about preparation for machine embroidery.

This will be a lecture type class where we will cover steps needed to prepare for embroidery. We will talk about stabilizers, needles, threads, hooping and tips for successful embroidery projects.

Each class starts at 10:30am and goes until 1:30pm. We will cover the basics of your machine (sewing or embroidery), and get you pointed in the right direction. Don't forget to print out your Sewing Mastery Workbook or Embroidery Mastery Workbook and bring it with you.

Do you want to build a Snowman?

Have you wanted to create one of the big OESD tiling scenes, but you thought they were too complicated? Come to our Orange Peel Expressions class on Feb 19th at 10:30am in Trussville! The cost is only $20 for your materials, and you will want to bring your embroidery machine.

The Orange Peel Expressions tiling scene is 16 designs (half of what you see in the larger tiling scenes), so it can be done in a single day if you wanted to knock out a quick wall hanging. Each design takes about 15 minutes of stitching time.

We will show you how to stitch out 2 of the designs, and then we will sew them together to make your first block. Then you can go home and stitch out the rest if you want to purchase the full panel, and you will have it ready to show us on Monday morning. It really is that easy!
