Trunk or Treat

THIS Sunday • 4:30pm-6:30pm • Back Parking Lot

Join us for our 6th annual Trunk or Treat in partnership with San Jose Church of Christ. Come dressed in your favorite costume, there will be trunks galore with crafts and games! We'll also serve a free hotdog dinner complete with chips and water! Please be sure to sign up for a trunk, a hot dog meal, and to donate candy!

In the event of inclement weather, we will host Trunk or Treat in the CAC Gym.

Thank you to everyone who helped pack baskets, deliver, pray, and more! With your help, we packed 120 baskets and blessed countless members of the community through feeding them and praying for them. This outreach couldn't have happened without you! Be on the lookout for more opportunities to serve our community soon!

Be sure to place your order for pecans to guarantee your order! You can place an order using the envelopes around campus or by emailing Bethany Coleman. Pecans will be delivered early November, just in time for the holidays!

Monthly Men's Meeting

Oct 26 • 6pm • CAC Dining Room

Join us Monday, October 26, at 6 PM in the CAC Dining Room for an evening of dinner and fellowship! Terrance Freeman will be our guest speaker. Terrance was formerly an at-large City Councilman for the City of Jacksonville and is currently running for election to the Flordia House of Representative to represent District 12. All men are welcome to come connect and enjoy a great evening together. Please RSVP with Tim Pardue so we can plan for dinner!

Women in Prayer 🙏🏼

Every Monday • 9:30am-10:30am

Each Monday, all women are invited to gather each Monday from 9:30–10:30 AM in the Library for a special time of prayer.

Together, we’ll pray for our preschool, children’s ministry, and youth, as well as the children and grandchildren in our own lives and community. Moms, grandmothers, aunts, friends—all women are welcome!

Come as you are and join us as we lift up the next generation in prayer.

Next week, the Family Matters Sunday School class will be cooking tacos/tostadas for dinner! The cost for dinner is $10/adult, $5/youth (7th-12th grade), and children (6th grade and younger) are free.

Every Wednesday

Lakewood’s longest running Bible study has resumed with Cynthia and Doug Haase leading a study in the book of James. Mike Hudson’s mom, Carol, started this study many years ago, and it’s still active today. Stop by EB103 (Mendoza Room) and say hi or stay a while one Wednesday between 4-5:30pm!

21 Strong 💪

Every Thursday • 6:30pm

Join us on Thursdays at 6:30 for 21 STRONG. Ages 18-98 are welcome to attend. Bring water and a mat or towel and meet in the CAC Gym. We'll start with word and prayer, move into stretching and warm-up, then review and perform your individual workout with the group while inspired by song. The weekly 21 STRONG sessions are geared toward building your physical strength in order to better serve others.

Finance Meeting 💵

The monthly Finance Meeting is scheduled for October 27 at 6pm in EB102 (Library). This meeting is open and all are welcome.

Children's Playground Party

It's time to celebrate fall! Our Kids Ministry will have a playground party with all the fall vibes and pumpkins! Games, treats, and a whole lot of fun!

Preschool Costume Parade

Oct 29 • 9:30am • Edu Building Hall and Courtyard

Our preschoolers are dressing up and are going to parade through the church trick or treating showing off their costumes! You're welcome to sit in the doorway of your Sunday School room if you are in the Edu Building or in the Courtyard to pass out treats!

A Prayer for Lakewood

Heavenly Father, let there be revival in your church at Lakewood. Renew our spirit and motivate us in ways that will grow our church: to invite others, to give generously, to actively participate, to pray. We give you thanks for bringing Pastor Jaime to Lakewood and for his new leadership and preaching of the Word. Let there be full support among the congregation for Pastor Jaime's efforts. Let there be renewal among our church staff. Help us find ways to encourage and bless the staff. Let there be major growth in the numbers of our children and youth. Let your ministry at Lakewood, which has been a blessing to so many for so long, grow again and continue long into the future.
