Are you ready for some Football?

Nope... I'm here for the commercials!

What can we learn from Superbowl Ads?

Picture this: The big game. Months of anticipation leading up to an event where people pay thousands of dollars to attend live. Millions of Americans gather around the television... to watch the advertising??

How do you get your marketing to a place where people don't keep scrolling or simply turn a blind eye when it comes to advertising your small business? Maybe you're not creating a 15 second commercial with an endless budget... maybe your style is more social media advertising to your 850 followers, or even just a sandwich board on your sidewalk for passersby to see... here's a few tips to create viral-worthy hype behind your advertising.

  • Research What's Trending

Pick up on queues from the local and national buzz. Create your own spin on other viral social media campaigns. Fold your product or service into the story!

  • Engage with People on Social Media

Interact with your viewers through comments and direct messages. Bring them in and make them feel a part of the conversation. This will not only boost your engagement in the algorithm, but this will keep your viewers coming back for more. BONUS: This engagement transforms your brand from a passive advertiser to someone that's passionate about building and getting to know their community.

  • Create an Emotional Response

If you can make your viewers laugh out loud or hit their feelers so hard, they find themselves on the verge of tears - you've done your job and you've done it well! As the iconic Maya Angelou once said, "people will forget what you said, but they'll never forget how you made them feel."

With so many great Marketing contacts in our chamber, it’s hard to pick just one to reach out to! CLICK HERE for a few we recommend. Also be sure to check out the Tips/Tools section below and get ready for your advertisements get the traction that is ALMOST Superbowl Commercial worthy!

ADOPT-A-COP

Continues to Bring in Donations

What's New with Adopt-A-Cop Since the Last Update?

This year's goal is far loftier than previous years. We got off to a great start matching last year's donations within days of opening the fundraising line. However, with this year's goal being TEN TIMES LARGER, it's taken us beyond the typical timeline of this program. Our goal is to continue collecting donations (money and resources) until the annex project is complete!

Who is this fundraiser benefitting? Gresham Police AND Gresham Fire both utilize a shared Health & Wellness Annex building. This is where officers and firefighters can come to work out, stretch or just relax in a semi-private setting. Unfortunately, this building is in terrible condition and is in desperate need of updating and remodeling. This is where we come in!

Annex Update: Officer Ryan at the Gresham Police Department has taken this project under his wing and has put in plenty of his own sweat equity into getting this project done. He's done all of the demolition, taking half of the annex down to its bones. The next step is getting the electrical wired, getting it insulated, then getting the walls up and painted. This is happening in tandem with getting plumbing going - and they need everything water related replaced.

Have's:

  • $7,570
  • Electrician donating his time.
  • Electrical Supply Store providing supplies at cost.
  • Painter donating his time and sourcing supplies at cost.

Immediate Needs

  • Additional Funds
  • Plumber and Plumbing Supplies

(Water heater, toilets, shower supplies, new sinks, etc.)

  • Heating and air conditioning
