NEW IBERIA, La. -- The latest option offered at the Dave Robicheaux's Hometown Literary Festival brings together three Iberia culinary brands for a cooking experience that will feature the products that made them famous.
Join Tabasco, Konriko and the Cane River Pecan Co. for the festival's "Tin Roof Throwdown" cooking demonstration.
The event will be held at the Steamboat Warehouse Pavilion at Bouligny Plaza, 102 W. Main St. in New Iberia, from 9 - 11 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017.
Chefs representing each company will prepare and serve Cajun recipes and teach participants how to prepare each along with tastings of the dishes. Recipe cards of each dish will be distributed so you can whip it up at home.
Konriko will make a duck gumbo, Tabasco will spice things up with an étouffée and Cane River will bake up some delicious pecan pralines.
