IA's middle school boys basketball program made incredible strides under director
Ryan Maples
. In his first season, Coach Maples led our Lions to a second place finish in the Florida Gulf Coast League and our team made it all the way to the league tournament championship game in which our boys finished runner-up to 4-time league champion St. Martha’s.

IA Athletics is excited to introduce two tremendously talented and experienced coaches for girls volleyball. Evelyn Long will be our new head coach and director of the volleyball program for the 2020 season. Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Clearwater Christian College (CCC). She was a 3 time All-American setter while winning 3 National Championships during her time at CCC. She brings to IA many years of coaching experience on various levels of competition at the club, high school, and college levels.
Evelyn’s sister Katy Roadman will be our Head Middle School and Assistant Varsity Coach. Katy holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from University of Central Florida. Katy’s coaching career started in 2005 when she served as head coach for Temple Christian School for two seasons. She also held coaching stints at Wharton High School and Tampa Catholic. Katy has also coached at the club level for several seasons, experiencing success at all levels of play.

Currently, we have five students of varying skill levels who are currently enrolled in a 20-hour instructional program under Coach Kaebel to learn and improve their golf game. This program includes instruction on putting, pitching, driving, sand work, video analysis, and more.
Our High School golf team experienced a successful second season and is already competing at a higher level against mainstream area high school programs. Our team concluded the season with a first place finish at the Links Invitational held at Greenfield Plantation.
The middle school golf season kicks off in late March with seven matches in which we are using Pinebrook Ironwood Golf Club as our course for three home matches. The league championship concludes sometime at the end of April.

From the Desk of Parent's Pride
Spring has sprung!
A fun time was had by all at our 2nd Annual Father Daughter dance. Thank you to those that kindly donated items and time to make this a special night for our IA girls and their dads. Extra thanks to Brooke Kull who came and took beautiful photos, Holly McAndrew for lending our decor, Patricia Adams, Mike Raina and Cliff Ullmann our awesome clean up crew, and Sharon Platko for helping put items away Monday morning.
Join us at ArtSlam on Saturday, March 7th in downtown Bradenton on Old Main Street. This is a free event that is sponsored by Realize Bradenton. Please come out wearing your IA gear and take advantage of the Farmers Market, Food Trucks, area restaurants, retail vendors, and local artwork all while supporting our IA Arts program lead by Ms.Hoffman. There will be something for everyone.
It is not too early to start thinking and planning ahead for Teacher and Faculty Appreciation Week. It will be here before we know it, May 4th-8th. This is an extra special week on campus spent spoiling our wonderful Teachers. We would like to start collecting gift cards in $10-$25 increments to local restaurants and shops that will be given out at the end of the week. Gift cards should be sent to the front office in an envelope marked to the attention of Parents Pride.
Our March Teacher Treat Day and Pride meeting will be pushed out a week later to March 13th 8:15 in room 202
. Please send in a "spring break send off snack" for our teachers.
Warm wishes and many blessings,
Sabrina Ullmann and Parents Pride
