1) Sign up for self-scheduled matches, which start on January 16.

2) Do not sign up for more draws than allowed (see Draw Limits section below).

3) Do not sign up for draws for which you do not qualify (see Eligibility section below).  US Squash Ratings will be strictly enforced.

4) If you have to change an entry (including for eligibility reasons), please do so using Club Locker before registration closes.  We may not be able to move you to a different draw after registration closes.

5) Adult Tournament: You must be 17 or older on December 31, 2024.

6) Junior Tournament: You must be under 18 on December 31, 2024.

7) Contact your opponents and self-schedule your matches at mutually agreed upon locations.

8) Plan to be available for Finals Night!  Thursday May 1, 2025.  All finalists should plan to be available on that date.

9) Have fun!

Junior Tournament:

• no more than TWO (2) draws

Men (Adult Tournament):

• no more than TWO (2) age level draws
• no more than TWO (2) open skill level draws

Women (Adult Tournament):

• no more than FIVE (5) draws total
• no more than TWO (2) age level draws
• no more than TWO (2) open skill level draws
• no more than TWO (2) women's skill level draws

You are eligible to play in younger age brackets than your age and higher skill brackets than your US Squash rating.  See additional eligibility information in purple below.

If you enter multiple skill level draws or multiple age group draws, they must all be "adjacent" to each other. (E.g., you may enter 40+ and 45+, but not 35+ and 45+; you may enter 4.5 and 5.0, but not 4.5 and 5.5.)

In order to ensure fairness and consistency for everyone, eligibility criteria will be strictly enforced. 

• You must be an active MA Squash / US Squash member.
• Adult Tournament: You must be 17 or older on December 31, 2024.
• Junior Tournament: You must be under 18 on December 31, 2024.
• Age level draws: you must be the minimum age of the draw on December 31, 2024.
• Skill level draws: your archived rating on December 31, 2024 must be at or below the rating level of the draw. E.g., to qualify for open 4.0, your US Squash rating must be at or below 4.0.

E.g., if your rating is 4.01, you do not qualify for the 4.0 draw.

E.g., if you turn 40 on January 1, 2025, you do not qualify for the 40+ draw.

We cannot make individual exceptions or accommodations.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you've entered the correct draw(s). Due to the short turnaround time between registration closing and the start of the tournament, if you have not placed yourself in the correct draw(s) before registration closes, we may not be able to move you to a different draw after registration closes.

Each draw will be administered by a volunteer draw coordinator who is familiar with most of the players in their respective draws. The draw coordinator will be your primary point of contact during the tournament, and you will receive additional communications from your draw coordinator. 

Match Integrity

• All players should have a solid understanding of the rules of squash. Players are strongly encouraged to have a copy of the rules (and refereeing rulebook) with them during the match (https://ussquash.org/rules/).

• [ADVANCE NOTICE] Beginning in 2026 (i.e., not this season, but the following season), all entrants in tournaments organized by MA Squash will be required to pass the Level 1 Ref Exam.

Courtesy and Etiquette

• As this is a self-scheduled tournament, we need everyone's cooperation re: scheduling, transportation, etc. Players are expected to communicate with each other and make reasonable efforts to arrange mutually convenient matches as promptly as possible.

• To avoid delaying the rest of the draw, players are expected to report their scores within the timeframe allotted for each round. Draw coordinators reserve the right to disqualify players or decide matches by coin toss or other means for failure to follow the allotted timeframes.

• All players are expected to observe proper etiquette during warmup and during the match.

• All Players, Parents, Coaches, and Spectators must abide by the US Squash Code of Conduct.

Protective Eyewear

• All players and attendees must comply with the US Squash Eyewear Policy, which requires that eyewear meet ASTM-F803 standards at all times during accredited play.
