The Lakeshore REALTORS® Association is excited to host a presentation on Newsday's Peabody Award-winning investigation, Long Island Divided, and its documentary film, Testing the Divide.

Keynote speaker Bill Dedman was one of the lead reporters in the investigation, a Pulitzer and Peabody award winner and New York Times No. 1 bestselling author.

The Newsday investigation, published in November 2019, revealed that Long Island's dominant residential real estate brokerages help reinforce racial segregation through illegal steering of customers. Newsday's team received several national awards for their work.

Bill will be presenting in person at the ONC during Fair Housing month, on April 20th from 8:30 - 11am.

CE credit — new for 2023!

For the first time ever, your attendance at RGD is eligible for CE credit. When you attend RGD 2023, you’ll be able to complete and pass the exam to earn credit for one real estate CE course for the 2023-24 Wisconsin real estate biennium.

The WRA January 2023 Housing Report

Existing home sales fell 33.8% in January 2023 relative to January 2022, and the median price of homes that closed in January rose 8.5% over that same 12-month period to $250,000.

Larger metropolitan markets have the most sales activity and the most limited supply at just 1.8 months, but even the less densely populated rural areas have very weak supply at only 2.6 months.

Affordability continues to be the primary reason that demand is so weak. Read the full release...
