Bringing Christ to the Global Citizen Community

In Munich Germany

A New Fellowship Start in Munich Germany

Planting the Gospel among the 400,000 plus International "Global Citizens" in Munich

Reaching 180 Nations with the Gospel Through One City

October 2022

Reflection:

Do not get upset because of evildoers,

Do not be envious of wrongdoers.

For they will wither quickly like the grass,

And decay like the green plants.

Trust in the Lord and do good;

Live in the land and cultivate faithfulness.

Delight yourself in the Lord;

And He will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord,

Trust also in Him, and He will do it.

He will bring out your righteousness as the light,

And your judgment as the noonday.

Psalms 37:1-6

Praise & Intercession

Dear Kyle,

Each day we are amazed as Jesus keeps providing! We are so thankful for all of you who are faithfully praying for us and supporting this ministry financially each month. Many of you have faced some hard times, yet you continued to give generously out of sacrifice.

As you pray for us, keep in mind that God sent the entire Tromanhauser family to minister in Munich! Your faithful financial support allows all four of us to be His ambassadors in Munich, as we plant the Gospel among the 400,000 plus international 'global citizens' in Munich.

We praise Jesus for the love and care He showers upon us through each one of you!

Sugery Scheduled for Kyle Sr.

on the 21st of October

During the fall of 2020, Kyle had surgery to replace his left hip. He was supposed to have it done in 2019, but a blood clot in his right leg forced him to have to wait a year. Now it is time to have the right hip replaced.

He currently is in a lot of pain, so he is looking forward to having this done. Concerns for prayer are, that he will not have any complications with a blood clot again, that he can avoid any infections, as well as staying healthy before the operation so there are no delays.

Please pray as we work with the insurance company to get everything in order. Currently they are debating on how long the inpatient rehab will be. Last time they approved 2 weeks, and it was a blessing, as they were able to monitor the blood clot which allowed Kyle to recover without complications.

New Disciples of Jesus

Sisters make decision to

Follow Jesus!

Three years ago, Matilda met a young woman from the middle east, while she was taking German classes. Her name is Sarah (changed for security reasons), and many of you have been praying for her over the years. She is married to a German and has one child and another on the way. This is the woman, who when she first met Matilda, asked her if she knew anyone who could tell her more about Jesus.

Recently she met with Matilda for half a day and wanted to share some good news! With excitement in her voice, she shared how she and her sister have chosen to follow Jesus! They are both afraid to tell their family, as they are sure violence will follow. Sarah's husband claims to not believe in anything but encourages his wife and child to seek a relationship with Jesus.

Matilda was meeting with her during the covid lockdown, mostly via WhatsApp, and they had some powerful times discussing God's Word, and what the cost is when choosing to be a Disciple of Jesus.

The sad news is, they are moving to Ulm this month, which is two hours away. We will do what we can to meet with them, and we plan to personally introduce them to a fellowship in Ulm.

Pray that the Holy Spirit leads us to the fellowship that is right for them, and for their spiritual growth. Also, for her husband who has been opening up more in recent months.

New Family

During the end of August, Matilda was walking Jeeves near the central park of our suburb. She saw a woman with 2 small children, and as they greeted each other, the woman realized Matilda was not German and started asking questions in English.

As they were talking, Matilda invited her over for tea, and she and the kids stayed for a couple hours. The next weekend, Roxy and her husband Lewis invited all 4 of us over for dinner.

Turns out they had just moved to Munich from the United Kingdom the first week of August. They moved to a suburb next to us, which is only about 5 miles away. Roxy's parents are from Persia & India, but she was born in the UK.

Her husband Lewis is from the UK, and they have another son, Arya (age 16). Lewis works for a company that consults with the train systems of Europe. Lewis has no faith and Roxy was raised in a Muslim family. She is very open and Matilda and her have had some great discussions about relational faith.

Please pray for this family as the adjustment to life in Munich has been very difficult for them. Roxy contacts Matilda almost daily as she is home alone with the young ones, while Lewis is adjusting to a new job. Arya is also having a difficult time adjusting to the school system.

Getting Closer

Kyle gave Sal this golfer devotional (about 2 years ago), and when he started a new job this past June, Kyle encouraged him to start reading the devotional during his first month.

The first part of September Sal texted Kyle and said he had started reading it.......

.......Here is his message:

"I wanted to let you know I started the Golf Time Devotional

LOVE IT!!

I read 50 pages in 5 min

related to everything... even the prayers (but I have a comment regarding that id prefer telling you in person...)

thanks for a wonderful inspirational present"

What Sal wanted to talk about in person was that his brother has recently claimed to be born again, but while he was visiting this past June, his actions did not reflect this new life. It gave us the opportunity to talk deeper about man's heart and our sinful nature; thus, revealing why we need a savior.

Many of you have been praying for Sal since the summer of 2018, when Kyle first met him.  As a reminder, he was born in Pakistan, his parents are from India, and at the age of 3 they moved to New York and later Texas. He was raised in the Muslim faith, taught Kalimah Tayyibah and occasionally went to prayers.

Sal moved to Munich about 20 years ago. He is married to Trixie who is German and works for Lufthansa, and they have a daughter Josefine (age 17).  Sal & Trixie were separated and moving towards divorce when Kyle met them. Today, they are still separated but not divorced. Kyle has been counseling with Sal since the summer of 2018 although during the 2 years of lockdown the contact/communication was very limited.

Sal, Josefine, & Trixie

Christmas 2021

To their credit, they take family vacations every year, in spite of being separated.

Josefine loves horses and trains as a rider for competition. When Trixie has to work (flight attendant for Lufthansa international routes), Sal stays at their home instead of making their daughter bounce back and forth between the parents.

One of the College Age Small Groups

The small groups are organized around the concept, "ASK: Looking at critical questions in life." This small group wanted to watch a video by Matt Walsh, "What is a Woman" and discuss it, as this has been a major talking point at the University. The background of the students is very diverse, with a Hindu (Ani), a Muslim (Adel), Russian Orthodox (Katerina), and no faith (Sasha).

The discussion was very in-depth as KJ & Konnor led with deeper questions, eventually leading to the worldview of different faiths in contrast to Biblical principles. Please continue to pray for this group.

One of our neighbors, Sabine & Adrea

Sabine & Andrea live just two houses down from our home.  They are from Germany, but lived in Michigan for several years.   They have two daughters and one son. The youngest, Kimberly is in university.  We are just getting to know each other, and they are becoming good friends. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to use this friendship to reveal Himself to the family.

Birthday Surprise!

Our university sons and daughter came to help their Munich Dad celebrate his birthday this past July.  Konnor and KJ were the grill masters.

KJ

University Graduation Day

KJ had his graduation ceremony this past summer and is currently doing an internship with UniCredit Bank in Munich. He is working in the department of Cash Management until the end of January. In February 2023 he will receive his BS (Hons) in International Business with a minor in International Relations from the University of Roehampton. His thesis was titled "Implementation of the NEOM Method of Renewable Energy Systems in Uganda & Kenya" (NEOM - The Line THE LINE (neom.com) )

Ani's parents, who live in Dubai, were not able to attend so his Munich mom and dad made sure it was a special day.

Due to attendance restrictions Konnor was not able to attend

Konnor

Duke of Edinburgh International Award

Konnor received his Bronze award.  Due to the Covid restrictions he was unable to complete the Silver level.  Each award takes at least one year to complete.

What is the Duke of Edinburgh Award?

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a youth awards program founded in the United Kingdom in 1956 by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, that has since expanded to 144 nations.

The Award is comprised of three levels and four sections. Participants complete all four Sections at each level in order to achieve either their Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. At Gold level, Participants also complete a Residential Project.

The four sections are: Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, Adventurous Journey (usually wilderness survival, hiking, climbing etc.), and Residential Projects.

Final Year

Konnor has started his final year of High School. He will receive his International Baccalaureate Degree in July. He may take a year off to work, and then he will attend a university for music production somewhere in Europe.

He is still playing drums with the worship team, as well as Trumpet and some guitar on the side. Occasionally he plays drums with some teachers from his school who have a band that plays for special events.

Dhiraj (India), Vincent (German), Louis (German), Konnor

Please pray for these young men as Konnor continues to share the Gospel with them!

A Day in the Life with Jeeves

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
