The Ultimate Train Set is in Frisco!

Christmas and electric trains have gone together for over 100 years. Now, the ultimate train set, once privately owned in North Dallas, is becoming a holiday tradition in Frisco.

The Museum of the American Railroad’s TrainTopia features operating large scale trains traversing exquisitely crafted landscapes which feature breathtaking scenery. The closer you look, the more you will see of this highly detailed world in miniature with ever-changing dramatic lighting.

A gift of the Sanders Family and presented by Amanda and Brint Ryan, TrainTopia is the ultimate train set. Once reserved for family and close friends in the Sanders' home, the "Million Dollar Train Set" is now a must-see for the holidays at its permanent location in Frisco.

Where:  Frisco Discovery Center, 8004 N. Dallas Pkwy., Frisco

When:  Wednesday – Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm & Sundays 1:00pm – 5:00pm. TrainTopia and the Museum will be closed December 23 - 25 for the Christmas holiday and December 30 - January 1 for the New Year holiday.

What’s New for Christmas:  Recent additions to TrainTopia include a 15-storey historic Hotel Settles , a realistic power plant, and enhanced operating features such as oil wells and automated trains. In addition to the Sanders’ G-Scale layout, TrainTopia now features a tiny N-Scale diorama:  Railroading During the Civil War . There is also a scavenger hunt for children and families.

More Info:  Tickets can be purchased at the door in TrainTopia or online at: www.HistoricTrains.org For special assistance or to book a group tour, please phone us at (214) 428-0101.
