WASH-RAG Members, Friends - and everyone who cares about WASH! As another year ends, the WASH-RAG Team has reflected on its activities over the last year. It has been a busy one! In this edition we'll look back at some of our achievements.

WASH-RAG on the global front!

The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) was held in Dubai and WASH-RAG was there!

A big thank you to WASH-RAG former Chair, and current Board member K. Neil Van Dine (District 9980, Haiti) and Rotaractor and WASH-RAG Operations Team member Abdul Rashid Alhassan from Tamale, Ghana (pictured above) for their journey to COP28.

Read Rashid's own words about this transformative experience:

"In the lessons of sessions I found not just knowledge, but a profound awakening to the complexities of development, forging connections that resonate deeply within the realms of WASH and Climate Change.

"The privilege of meeting with the RI President, Nominees, and Past Presidents of Rotary International was an extraordinary moment, underscoring the global impact and unity of purpose within our Rotary family.

"The opportunity to stand before an audience and present on Ocean Acidification and Biodiversity Loss was not just an academic exercise; it was a chance to be a voice for our planet and its fragile ecosystems."

The WASH Rotary Action Group is pleased to consider partnerships with any corporate supporter. Due to the unique attributes of water sources and water provision, acceptance of corporate support does not imply an endorsement of any particular water technology. Rotarians, Rotary Clubs, and Rotary partners must evaluate any technology to determine if it is the best solution for the conditions where the program will be implemented. The WASH Rotary Action Group can provide guidance about where different technologies work best, but Rotarians and Rotary clubs must make the final decision about how to implement their programs. Email us about your ongoing or finished project at info@wash-rag.org.

This Rotary Action Group is RI-recognized and operates in accordance with Rotary International policy, but is not an agency of, or controlled by, Rotary International. To learn more please contact the WASH Rotary Action Group by email at infor@wasrag.org Thank you.
