THIS Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, noon; 12th annual, starts/ends at Livingston Park, corner of Livingston Drive and Park Ave.; Justin Rudd's Community Action Team hosts this 1-mile walk for men, women and youth on the sidewalks of Second Street to bring awareness to heart health issues during Heart Health Month. Wear red shoes (if you have them) and bring a sign with a heart-health message to carry. Free to participate. Rain or shine.

Your group can make money by walking in the Red Shoes & Red Heels Walk. Justin Rudd's nonprofit Community Action Team (C.A.T.) will donate $5/per person in red shoes or heels to your charity, organization, school or team (up to $250 per group)

30-Minute Beach Cleanup & "Roses Are Red..." poetry contest Sat., Feb. 19

RULES

Sunday, March 20, 2022, 9 a.m - noon, 18th annual, concrete boat launch ramp at 1 Granada Ave., at Rosie's Dog Beach, 9 a.m. til noon. Justin Rudd and his nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT) host this event billed as one of the largest annual gathering of English bulldogs in the world. Some of the other contests that day for all breeds/mixes include National Mutt Show, Best in Show, best large dog, and best small dog. The dogs will parade down the red carpet and get judged by real-life beauty queens, all to help raise money for CAT/Haute Dogs and animal welfare causes. $10/advance per dog; free to spectate. 

Co-sponsored by Councilwoman Suzie Price and Port of Long Beach.
