Farewell Gathering for Gregor
This week will be Gregor Ralston’s last Sunday as the organist for Our Savior's. Between services this Sunday (9:40 - 10:15 am), we’ll gather as a congregation to thank Gregor for his service and to celebrate his 27 years of ministry. As part of our gratitude, you are invited to join us in the Fireside Room for refreshments. You are also invited to bring a card and perhaps include a ‘love offering’ if you choose. It will be our time to honor and thank this wonderful servant.

NEW DATE - Blessing Bags Event Sunday, 9/8
It has been amazing to watch the care, love, and concern put into action by Our Savior's for the Blessing Bag program. Thank You!
Preparations are underway for the next Blessing Bag event which will be Sunday, September 8. There will be tables set up with dozens of gallon-size Ziploc bags to be filled with food, hygiene items, and socks which will be handed out to the unsheltered (homeless) in the area.

Items needed for the bags include:
  • Individually packed non-perishable food items such as trail-mix, beef jerky, nuts, protein bars, fruit cups, juice boxes, sandwich crackers, etc.
  • Hygiene products like travel-sized toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, and deodorant. Tip: Check with your dentist to see if they would like to support this effort with dental hygiene products or samples.
  • Socks, socks, socks! These are always so appreciated. Right now we are looking for ankle socks for the hot weather.

There will be a collection barrel located in the narthex for these items. Financial contributions are also greatly appreciated.

For more information or to get involved, contact the church office or talk to Daine Dahlin, Dan Holstein, or Jim Brookhyser.
Hope for Kidz

A Huge Thank You From Letty Owings Center
On behalf of the Letty Owings Center, I'd like to share with you how much they are appreciating the gently used kitchen items that you are bringing for them. As the ladies graduate and move on, these things are so needed as they have nothing to furnish a kitchen in their next housing option.
Many people in the congregation have brought things. I know a few because they asked me questions - here is a personal thanks - Jennifer Morrison, Ginny Michel, Joe DeBlois and to Don Hook for delivering a twin bed donated by his neighbor to the LOC location. God's Work - Our Hands.

With Gratitude,
