He is Risen! Easter eNews
Worship Outdoors With Us This Sunday
It was such a gift to be together in person and through our live-stream on Easter Sunday. As we monitor the COVID numbers in Guilford County, we will continue to worship online at 10:00 a.m., but we have good news to share! On Sunday April 18, we will offer an outdoor, in-person Eucharist at 3:00 p.m., where we will be able to sing. Masks and social distancing will still be required. Our attendance is limited to 75 persons, and signup is required. You can sign up at http://bit.ly/outdoor418. If you do not have internet access, please call Susan Frye in the office (extension 1) for help signing up.
Instead of weekly Wednesday Compline, we are planning several special worship services in the Easter season. Look for announcements in the weeks to come.
Parent Meeting, Sunday April 18th at 5:30 p.m.
We are excited to begin welcoming families back onto our campus and dreaming about what next at St. Andrew’s for our children and youth. Join us virtually for a parents’ meeting on Sunday April 18 at 5:30. We will provide an overview of current diocesan guidelines and have a conversation about what parents want and need. Join us at http://bit.ly/StAParents418 (passcode StAParents). You are also invited to bring your family to outdoor worship that Sunday at 3:00 p.m. See worship signup link above.
First Quarter Statements to be Emailed Again
First quarter giving statements were emailed today with guidance from our software provider. We understood the link in the emails to the giving statements is not working properly. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and we will send a new email in the next few days.
Livestream Team Volunteers Needed!
After a few starts and stops, we hope to begin livestreaming our worship services again this spring with our new video equipment. This will allow us to welcome parishioners back for in-person worship when the time comes, and continue to provide a quality online experience. We need volunteers to help run this on Sunday mornings. The only requirements are a willingness to learn! Our videographer, Robin Hardman, will provide training and detailed instructions. If you are interested, please contact him at robin@standrewsgso.org.
We Need Your Support
Thank you for your financial support of St. Andrew’s. We need your gifts. Quarterly statements will go out this week. Please review your statement and contact Ray Marsh at bookkeeper@standrewsgso.org with any questions or concerns.

You can continue your pledge or give a new gift in the following ways:

  • Mail to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2105 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27403
  • Give online at https://abundant.co/standrewsepiscopalch/give
  • Text STAEC to 73256

New Life - Yanceyville Place Apartments
In this season of Easter, the Church of the Holy Spirit and Mills Construction are proposing an affordable apartment development in northeast Greensboro. You can read about it at http://bit.ly/Yanceyv. One fourth of the apartments will rent from $273 for a one bedroom to $384 for a three bedroom, with rents for households with somewhat higher income levels ranging from $502 to $875. Tenants will be connected with supportive services to gain stability, especially those moving from homelessness and those with disabilities. The apartments will be high quality construction and energy efficient, with a community center and beautiful woods and stream preserved for environmental learning.

Please contact your city council member to voice your support for this work. The city council votes on May 4. Contact Beth McKee Huger with questions, at bethmckeehuger@outlook.com.
Commit to Creation Care
We believe that care of creation is integral to God’s dream. As the Church celebrates the 50 days of Easter and new life, we also recognize Earth Day on Thursday, April 22. This is a time to give thanks for creation and recommit to ways of strengthening our stewardship of Earth, our island home.

You are encouraged to participate in this year’s diocesan Earth Day 2021 Challenge. Click on the picture to download the flyer, or click here to learn more.
