It’s Time to Make Dinner for Abundant Life — March 9

As we have been fed by faith, we also feed others. St. Andrew’s has committed to bring dinner the 2nd Tuesday of each month. If you are interested in participating, please contact Shelley Kappauf at 336-404-0177 or shelleykapp@gmail.com.
EYC Outside Gathering on the Church Lawn
Saturday March 6th, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Clothing Drive, Turquoise Table, Prayer Flags, & Games
The youth will gather outside, masked and socially distanced, to sort through clothing that has been donated. If you have clothing you would like to donate (any size), feel free to bring the clothing and add to the collection. We will also paint a Turquoise Community Table, create prayer flags for the Herman Hall, play Capture the Flag, and end with a few rounds of Pickleball! Fellowship and fun for all!
Easter Flowers
As many of you know, one of the duties of St. Andrew’s Altar Guild is to decorate our worship space for special services, including Easter. On this very special and festive day, we would like the church altar to be full of beautiful flowers, especially lilies. We invite you to support the Altar Guild with an honorary or memorial Easter Flower Offering. The bulletin for Easter Sunday will list all donors and dedications.

Gifts may be made online at this link, at church during Tuesday office hours, or by mail.

All gifts should be received by Tuesday March 23rd.
Lenten Resources and Micropractices Booklet

Click this link to our view Lenten Resources email. One part of that, our Lenten Micropractices Booklet, was included in the Lenten Bags along with other great things to help you observe Lent. We’re repeating the Booklet here in case you missed it. Click the grey circle on the booklet below for a full screen image.
Clothing & Shoe Drive Update
Thank you for your amazing outpouring of generosity. The clothing is now being
sorted and your abundant donations will be distributed in the next few weeks. We appreciate your help.
Continued Water Concerns in Herman Hall

Throughout the rainy month of February, the water level was at its peak, and we
have had water seeping into Herman Hall once again. In lieu of building an Ark, we
are currently talking with basement specialists and structural engineers to learn how
we might best address this ongoing issue. We hope to have some possibilities and
estimates soon so that we will have a vibrant and safe space to welcome back our youth and children this summer or fall. A huge thank you to the “bucket brigade” –
the team who has worked tirelessly to stem the tide and shop vac water on a daily
and sometimes hourly basis – Betty and Alan Atwell, Mike Van Ormer, Scott
Durham, Sandy Shelton, and Stephen Inman.
A Prayer for Those Suffering from the Coronavirus

You shall not be afraid of any terror by night
nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Of the plague that stalks in the darkness,
nor of the sickness that lays waste
at mid-day. Ps 91:5-6

Merciful God, hear our fervent prayer for all who suffer from the coronavirus.
May those who are infected receive the proper treatment
and the comfort of your healing presence.
May their caregivers, families and neighbors be shielded
from the onslaught of the virus.
Give solace to those who grieve the loss of loved ones.
Protect and guide those who strive to find a cure,
that their work may conquer the disease and restore communities to wholeness and
health.
Help us to rise above fear.
We pray in the name of your Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
Amen.
