Carbon Dioxide Portable Fire Extinguishers
Hand-portable carbon dioxide fire extinguishers are commonly used in areas where there are electronic equipment, flammable liquids, and gases. They are effective for Class B and Class C fires, as carbon dioxide does not leave any residue or harm electrical equipment. They are not recommended for Class A fires as they do not cool the fuel source.
