Man tossing empty plastic containers into a recycling chipper.
Did You Know...
At the LWDD we recycle various sizes of our used herbicide containers. Small 2.5-gallon containers are washed 3 times then tossed into a chipper. The result is small pieces of plastic that will be melted down to produce new plastic consumer goods. Some larger barrels will be recycled offsite while other barrels are sent back to the manufacturer to be filled with herbicide and returned for future use in our maintenance program. Recycle, reuse and repurpose is one of the ways LWDD helps to protect our environment.
