Join LUT at these events for summer fun and transportation outreach!

LUT Ambassadors may be at your next summer outing to provide information and seek your input on these ongoing transportation efforts. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and hear what you have to say.

Council Creek Regional Trail

This 6-mile commuting and recreational trail segment will connect Hillsboro, Cornelius and Forest Grove. This alternative to TV Highway is designed for all who bike, hike, roll and stroll.

Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP)

MSTIP is a program funded by property taxes to pay for street improvements. Outreach for the MSTIP '23-'28 Funding Cycle is underway. There are 25 projects proposed county wide that cost more than the $160 million available. The estimated cost of these projects is much higher than the funding available. Learn more about the 25 proposed projects and provide input to help us trim the list to match available funding.

Don't forget to participate in an online open house to help the Washington County Board of Commissioners select which projects will receive funding.

Transit Development Plan

Our Transit Development Plan helps guide the future of public transit across Washington County for each two-year state budget. Using Statewide Transportation Improvement Funds (STIF), we aim to meet a variety of requirements. These include expanding frequent bus service to low-income areas and improving service to TriMet and South Metro Area Regional Transit areas.

LUT Ambassadors will be available to talk about these efforts at the following events. We may also be present at additional events.
