Farmington Road: Concept Planning Complete

Washington County and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) have completed a concept plan for Farmington Road between 209th Avenue and Kinnaman Road.

Highlights of the plan include:

Widening to 3 lanes
A shared-use path for people walking and biking
Improving major intersections
Enhancing lighting and stormwater management

The project team would like to thank the community for their involvement. Community feedback was central in developing a concept plan to serve Aloha and the region’s transportation needs.

What’s next?

With the concept plan now complete, the next step is securing funding for final design and construction.

CPACE Program Moves Forward

The Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (CPACE) program is now a permanent part of Washington County’s economic development strategy.

On November 18, 2025, the Board of Commissioners voted to maintain the program indefinitely.

The CPACE program enables property owners to access up-front, long-term real estate financing for sustainability and resiliency improvements, including:

Energy efficiency upgrades
Renewable energy systems
Water conservation measures
Seismic retrofits

CPACE is helping lower financial barriers for sustainable development.

NOTE: Neighborhood Meeting information is provided as a courtesy only. Developers are required to hold Neighborhood Meetings prior to submitting certain land use applications. These meetings serve as a forum for the developer, Community Participation Organizations (CPOs), property owners within 500 feet in urban areas or 1,000 feet in rural areas, and any other interested parties, to discuss the proposal before an application is submitted to the County. County staff do not schedule these meetings nor attend them.
