UPDATE: Building Services, Development Review/Current Planning, Community Planning, Transportation Planning and Survey will be closed for in-person services July 1-4, 2025. Online and phone services and in-person appointments will continue, and staff will be working in the office. 


In addition, ProjectDox and Building and Development Application Services (BDAS) will be unavailable July 1 only due to software upgrades. 

Board approves FY 2025-26 Road Maintenance Program

The document outlining the Department of Transportation (LUT) planned road maintenance activities was approved by the Washington County Board of Commissioners during its regular meeting Tuesday.


The FY 2025-26 Road Maintenance Program focuses on preventative maintenance, which extends the life of infrastructure and saves tax dollars. Highlights include:


  • Six major culvert replacements performed by contractors
  • 12 major culvert replacements performed by LUT road crews
  • 1,700 miles of shoulder vegetation clearing and trimming
  • 28 miles of gravel road surface stabilization
  • 24 miles of slurry seal in the Urban Road Maintenance District
  • 11 miles of chip seal paving


The goal of the Road Maintenance Program is to complete high-quality work safely, efficiently and cost effectively with as little disruption to the traveling public as possible. Learn more about our Road Maintenance Program.

Open House

See the design for the Murray Boulevard Sidewalk Improvement and provide feedback during an online open house through Sunday (June 22).


We plan to build sidewalk on the east side of Murray Boulevard starting at Jenkins Road, onto the eastern Terman Road ramp and ending at the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (TPHRD) Beaverton Creek Trail. Curb ramps and street lighting will also be built.

  • Banks Road from Aerts Road to 1250 feet west of intersection; road closure, June 20-Aug. 31 for intersection construction. Call 503-324-5112.
  • Helvetia Road from Phillips Road to Meier Road; lane closure, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. June 23-26 for monument box replacement.
  • 185th Avenue at Viking Court; lane closure 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. June 25-27 for construction.
