Travel safely in winter weather

Winter weather is the forecast! Our road crews will be ready to plow and sand 24/7 through the length of the wintry conditions.


Take precautions if you must travel on slippery roads and sidewalks.

Pedestrians and Bicyclists



  • Make sure that your footwear has a good tread, or use crampons.
  • Wear bright clothing, reflectors and lights.
  • Use properly inflated snow tires on your bike.
  • Stay aware of vehicles that may have difficulty stopping at intersections.
  • Check TriMet service alerts for public transit delays or cancellations.

Hall Boulevard on-ramp to Highway 217 south closure

The on-ramp from Hall Boulevard to OR 217 south will close Wednesday (Jan. 17) as part of the Oregon Department of Transportation's OR 217 Auxiliary Lanes Project.


The closure is expected to last two months. Travelers will be detoured south on Scholls Ferry Road to the southbound on-ramp. Expect delays.


Crews will rebuild the ramp to connect to the future auxiliary lane along the highway. The closure schedule is subject to change.

WC-ROADS: Traffic impacts starting next week


No projects are scheduled to start next week.

Neighborhood meetings, required for many Washington County development applications, can be held online as per the COVID-19 Virtual Neighborhood Meeting Supplement.
