Construction on two of four major culvert replacements on Washington County roads is underway.
These projects will replace aging culverts to improve drainage and protect the roads from damage. Construction will require road closures. These are the culvert replacement projects we’re completing this summer. Schedules are subject to change.
Old Highway 47 Culvert Replacement: Aug. 8-Sept. 5
- Road closure from Etters Road to Maple Lane
Old Pumpkin Ridge Culvert Replacement and Road Reconstruction: Aug. 11-Sept. 3
This culvert replacement is being completed in conjunction with a full-depth reclamation project, with a two-phase closure. Access to the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club will be maintained.
- Closure A: Mountaindale Road to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club entrance; Aug. 11-27
- Closure B: Pumpkin Ridge Drive to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club entrance; Aug. 28-Sept. 3, 2025
White Creek Culvert Replacements: August 2025 (Dates to be determined)
Our contractor is in the process of developing schedules. We will replace one culvert on Gales Creek Road and another on Thornburg Road, with two road closures.
- Closure A: Gales Creek Road south of Thornburg Road
- Closure B: Thornburg Road south of Gales Creek Road
Groveland Road Culvert Replacement: September 2025 (Dates to be determined)
- Road closure between West Union Road and Groveland Drive
