Public Input Needed on Updates to Community Development Code

Washington County is reviewing its Community Development Code — the rules that guide how land is used and developed — to determine how it might be updated to reflect state law, be more user-friendly, and reduce barriers to housing production.

Few documents have as much influence as the Community Development Code to shape how our community grows: the kinds of housing that can be provided, the resources protected, and the guidelines that encourage the creation of vibrant neighborhoods.

Big Changes in TriMet’s New Service Proposals

TriMet is planning major changes to transit service starting in August.

On March 11, the transit agency shared its updated service proposals, which were informed by public feedback on the previous proposals.

Among the most significant updates:

  • Bus service on Southwest Tualatin-Sherwood Road will continue. TriMet is combining Line 38 with Line 97, extending Line 97 to the Barbur Transit Center as Line 97-Tualatin-Sherwood/Kruse Way.
