With the cold weather finally arriving, learn how we keep roads safe.
Our snow and ice routes cover 426 miles of road, but with limited resources, we focus on the most critical areas first:
-
Roads connecting emergency services and important destinations
- Major corridors
- Neighborhood streets in extreme conditions, after priority routes
How We Prepare
If snow or ice is in the forecast, we apply anti-icer beforehand to help prevent slippery conditions. Once cold weather sets in, we sand roads to improve traction and plow as needed.
Visit our Slow Plow Routes Map to see where we prioritize service and plan your travel accordingly.
