Yesterday's late-afternoon precipitation and overnight freezing temperatures have created slick conditions on some roads this morning.
Our crews have been sanding roads since 4 am and are tending to priority routes before peak travel hours to keep the morning commute as safe as possible.
Drive with caution during commute hours:
- Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.
- Increase following distance—at least three times the normal space on icy roads.
- Brake gently and avoid sudden lane changes.
- Use low-beam headlights and turn off cruise control.
Please allow extra time if you’re driving, biking, or walking.
