Meet the construction contractor and learn about upcoming traffic impacts for the Walker Road and Murray Boulevard Intersection Project.

In-Person Open House

Tuesday, March 24 from 5–7 p.m.

B4 Church, 13565 SW Walker Road

Construction is expected to begin this summer and continue through 2028.

The project will improve the intersection with dual left‑turn lanes, dedicated right‑turn lanes, and a new southbound lane on Murray Boulevard.

This project is being delivered in partnership with the City of Beaverton, Clean Water Services, and Tualatin Valley Water District.

Input Needed on Community Development Code

Washington County is taking a close look at its Community Development Code — the set of rules that determines how land can be used and developed. The goal is to identify updates that align with state law, simplify the code for users, and help reduce barriers to building much‑needed housing.

Few documents shape the future of our communities as significantly as the Community Development Code. It influences what types of housing can be built, what natural resources are protected, and how we support the creation of vibrant, well-designed neighborhoods.

Transportation Plan Update: Online Open House

Washington County is updating its Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP), which, once adopted, will serve as a strategic guide for improving transportation safety in Washington County.

The online open house gives community members the chance to review key crash trends, help prioritize safety strategies, and share their thoughts on the proposed updates.

Learn about key elements of the draft TSAP, including:

A stated commitment to safety
Priority strategies for reducing fatal and serious injury crashes
An approach to monitoring safety efforts

Public comment on the 2027–30 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) is open through Thursday, April 9.

MTIP is a roadmap for how federal transportation funding will be invested in our Portland Metropolitan region—including Washington County. Metro updates the MTIP every three years to outline the projects and programs planned for the next four years—everything from safety improvements to transit upgrades, and more.

Your feedback will help inform JPACT and the Metro Council this spring as they move toward adopting the final 2027–30 MTIP in July.
