Forest Grove: Intersection Improvements

A new traffic signal and improved safety features are coming to the intersection of Highway 47, Fern Hill Road, and Maple Street.


Planned improvements include:

  • Center median
  • New right‑turn lane from Hwy 47 to Fern Hill Road
  • Updated street lighting
  • Adaptive Intelligent Traffic System (ITS)
  • Improved curb ramps and sidewalks


Utility relocations are underway. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2027.

Engagement Opportunities

Kaiser Road Online Open House



Kaiser Road will close between Springville Road and Brugger Road from June 16 to August 16, 2026, for construction.


The closure will allow crews to rebuild a dip in the road and raise the street by about four feet.


Drivers should follow the signed detour using Germantown Road, 185th Avenue, and Springville Road. Pedestrians and cyclists may use neighborhood routes.

Scholls Ferry Road Pedestrian Improvements


As construction gets ready to begin this June, learn about the safety and accessibility improvements planned for:



  • Scholls Ferry Road between Laurelwood and 77th Avenues
  • Scholls Ferry at 121st Avenue Intersection


Together, these projects will fill key sidewalk gaps, add on-street bike lanes, upgrade crossings, and improve accessibility to make the corridor safer and more comfortable for everyone traveling in the area.

Murray Boulevard/Walker Road

  • Location: Intersection
  • Impact: Traffic signal shutdown
  • Dates: June 3-4

  • Location: Springville Road to Brugger Road
  • Impact: Road closure
  • Dates: June 16 - August 16
