Washington County's Sidewalk Repair Grant Program provides financial assistance for repairing or replacing damaged sidewalks.
Program benefits include:
-
Reimbursement of up to $2,000 for eligible sidewalk repairs
Under Oregon law, property owners are responsible for maintaining sidewalks adjacent to their property. Up to $100,000 in funding is available this fiscal year for community members ready to complete sidewalk work within the Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD).
This initiative supports safer, more accessible neighborhoods by helping reduce the financial burden of required sidewalk maintenance.
All repairs must be performed by a licensed contractor. Funding is provided through the URMD, which invests in road maintenance and pedestrian improvement. Grant eligibility must be confirmed before work begins.
