The first 6 miles of the future 15‑mile Council Creek Regional Trail are moving forward!

This new walking and biking connection will run along the former railroad corridor between Forest Grove and Hillsboro, offering a safer and more comfortable alternative to Tualatin Valley Highway.

We’re seeking community feedback on proposed safety upgrades at key street crossings in Forest Grove, Cornelius, Hillsboro, and unincorporated Washington County.

Community members are invited to weigh in on five potential design options for future bike and pedestrian bridges at the Cornelius Pass Road and U.S. 26 interchange.

The project is proposing two bridges to improve safety and comfort for people walking, biking, and rolling in Hillsboro.

The enhanced trail network will provide access to nearby destinations, including schools, Hillsboro Stadium, parks, employment centers, and neighborhoods.

Each year, Washington County develops a Road Maintenance Program to guide pavement preservation, vegetation management, drainage work, gravel road stabilization, and other essential maintenance completed by County crews and contractors.
