Washington County celebrated Go Orange Day as part of National Work Zone Awareness Week.
Staff across the County wore orange to raise awareness of the dangers of inattentive driving in work zones, and to show their support for the road crews who work daily in high-traffic, high-risk environments.
Operations & Maintenance (O&M) employees play a critical role in keeping Washington County’s transportation system running. They repair pavement, maintain drainage, manage vegetation, respond to emergencies, inspect road conditions, and ensure safe travel for all roadway users.
Their work often takes place just feet away from moving traffic, making work zone safety essential.
