Hi, Mentor ! We want to give a shout-out to the presenting sponsors of our AIM for Education fundraising event which took place last Friday. It was a huge success and we were blessed to have perfect weather. Thanks so much to Suncoast Credit Union, Harvard Jolly Architecture, and Creative Contractors, Inc. for their generous support.

And thanks to our many volunteers who helped coordinate and work the event--many of whom are both mentors and sponsors, like Bo Dring of Walbridge Construction, and Louise Ellrod and Randy Fitkin from CPPI. It was also great to have TSIC alumnus/now mentor, Sherman Milton, helping at the event along with veteran mentor, Dave Estabrook.

We are still totaling up the proceeds from the event but we hope to have, as in year's past, raised enough to send 6 or 7 kids to college! Thanks to everyone who supported the event!
We need mentors ASAP who can serve the following students:

We are adding 6 new students to the program this month and 2 of them at the schools listed below are still in need of a mentor by February 20, 2019 .

If you know any caring people like yourself that would love an opportunity to serve as a TSIC mentor, please email our Mentor Coordinator, Gina Granger, at ggranger@pascoeducationfoundation.org or call (813) 794-2134. Or you can simply forward this email and ask them to check out this awesome opportunity to change a life over lunch. Thank you!
Thank you for logging your mentor sessions after each visit.
It really takes less than a minute. :)
All scholars in grades 9 through 11 received an email from Kayla, our program coordinator, outlining the details of this year's annual project. Mentors and mentees will collaborate on this project which might require a few sessions to complete before the April 1st deadline. You will need your Mentor Toolkit for this project and use of a computer which might require having your session(s) in the media center. If you need a Mentor Toolkit, let us know and we will get a copy to you. You can also view the Toolkit online and print select pages by clicking here .

Your mentee will work with you to complete Activities 36, 38-39 plus some research on an available position of employment at a company the mentee could see him/herself working someday. To read the full details of the project requirements, click here . It was brought to our attention that the link on the state TSIC website which is referenced in the Mentor Toolkit at the bottom of the page for Activities 38 & 39 was not working. We reached out to our state office and the link appears to be fixed now. You can click here to go directly to that page on the state website. You'll then find a link to download the "Sample Cover Letter/Resume" in the menu on the right.

The annual project is mandatory for TSIC scholars in grades 9 through 11. Graduating seniors or those currently in middle school did not receive an email from us and are exempt from the annual project. However, they are certainly welcome to complete it as it will not be a wasted effort.

If you have any questions about this annual project, please don't hesitate to contact us.
