FALL IN FULL SWING: 3,419 GRADUATES AND 92 COURSES IN SESSION
|
|
Fall is a busy season here at TGH. Over the past few months, we've on-boarded 85 new trainers and there are currently 92 courses in session. This year alone, 3,419 TGH graduates
have gained critical technology skills and a new device to help them improve their lives. We are excited to announce that we are on track to reach our ambitious goal to graduate more than 4,000 Greater Boston residents in 2018! Thank you to all the trainers, volunteers, and partner sites that have helped turn this goal into a reality. We look forward to working with you and serving more participants in 2019!

TGH's secret sauce is the dedication of our trainers and partner organizations. Funding from BNY Mellon helps us onboard more trainers to graduate more participants. Each course brings computers, Internet, and training to those without so that students can do homework, adults can find jobs and manage finances, and seniors can connect with loved ones. Thank you, BNY Mellon, for helping our learners meet your goal to “develop skills and overcome barriers so they can prosper in the digital world.”

TGH AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT: HIQ COMPUTERS
–
TGH'S LOCAL COMPUTER SUPPLIER

A minority-owned business founded in 1986, HiQ Computers is a leading provider in customized technology solutions. For more than 15 years, HiQ has been TGH’s computer supplier, delivery coordinator and a critical partner. In the early years TGH provided desktops, printers, and refurbished laptops. Today graduates receive new iPads and Chromebooks! HiQ has distributed more than 15,000 devices and makes 1-3 deliveries per day for TGH’s 300+ courses. In addition, HiQ provides over-the-phone and in-person technical support for TGH graduates at their Medford office.
HiQ doesn’t stop there! One TGH graduate sent their device in for repair and forgot to put an apartment number on it. HiQ fixed the machine, went door to door, and delivered the computer into the right hands.
When asked about our relationship, HiQ Sales Manager David Silipigni said, “It’s like we’re a family. I took my wife and twins to the TGH Summer Celebration in July. A few of the trainers came up, hugged and thanked me. It was a great day to honor the work of TGH trainers and graduates. We truly enjoy being part of this amazing program that is doing so much for the community.”
