Help Us Celebrate Our Community!

2024 CMC Awards Gala

Join us on April 15th at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland as we take pride in recognizing our everyday heroes and CMC members who are making a difference in the lives of the citizens and businesses of our community.

A celebration of people who make our region special, this dinner honors educators, public safety officers, and military personnel for their community contributions. We will also celebrate the Chamber’s accomplishments, highlight plans for 2024, introduce new members of our Board of Directors, and proudly showcase our Annual Hall of Fame award winners.

This event is made possible through the support of our sponsors. We can’t do it without you!

Energy Purchasing Cooperative

SAVE Money for Your Business!

Electricity and Natural Gas Utility Rates have increased on average over the past 24 months by 55%. Members of the Chamber Energy Purchasing Cooperative program have signed long-term fixed price contracts resulting in 11% to 16% annual savings. Review your current invoice and if you are on the current utility rate or are paying more in your current contract than the posted utility rate, contact CQI Associates for an no obligation rate assessment.

The Chamber Energy Purchasing Cooperative increased purchasing power allows members to receive lower rates than they could typically attain on their own. The program provides competitive electric and natural gas rates for your business and your home.

The Importance Of Getting Underrepresented Communities

Into The Workforce

Diversity and inclusion have become buzzwords in the media lately, but they are more than that – they are essential building blocks of a thriving business model. A vital aspect of this diversity is the inclusion of underrepresented communities in the workforce.

Inclusion of underrepresented communities – such as racial and ethnic minorities, women, people with disabilities, those from underserved communities, and the LGBTQ+ community – is not just a moral imperative but a strategic business decision. Companies ranking in the top 25% for ethnic and cultural diversity surpass the profitability performance of companies in the bottom quarter by 36%, according to a report by McKinsey & Company. Similarly, diverse teams have been shown to be more creative and innovative. Companies with above-average diversity scores reported 19% higher innovation revenues, as found in a BCG study.
